Phishing is a type of social engineering designed to trick victims into revealing sensitive information often resulting in huge financial loss - In 2021, ~293 Mn scam reports were filed worldwide with global losses to ~ USD 55 Bn; (Per the Global State of Scams Report 2022 – GASA).The global penetration of mobile devices coupled with low SMS and data costs has led to SMS and WhatsApp becoming a major channel for phishing.Scammers have also become faster and smarter – they are continuously evolving new smishing patterns and URLs/phone numbers (85-90% of all smishing CTA's) making it difficult to contain the menace by acting on a reactive basis. (Only 10% of URL's are repeated for 2+ days, with some expiring in 2 hrs.)
To address this challenge effectively, we are excited to launch a first of its kind “Anti- Smishing” solution ; an AI/ML based solution targeted to improving digital security. Our solution is aimed at proactive identification, prevention and elimination of SMS phishing to protect end-consumers.
